How to Make Steel in Infinite Craft
Checked in the game in October 2026
Steel shares almost its whole path with Metal and only changes the final partner. Build a Car from an Engine and a Plant, let Dust rust it, and rinse the Rust with Water to get Iron. Then add a Plant rather than Earth, and the game hands you Steel instead of plain Metal.
Quick answer
Iron+Plant=Steel
Combine Iron and Plant to get Steel.

8 combinations, each uses only things made earlier.

Tip: If you are making both, stop at Iron: Earth + Iron gives Metal and Iron + Plant gives Steel. Steel + Mud makes Pig Iron as a bonus.
