This policy explains what information Infinite-Craft.org ("we", "us") collects when you visit this website and play the game on it, why we collect it, and what choices you have. If anything is unclear, write to us at hello@infinite-craft.gg.
The short version
- There are no accounts on this site. We never ask for your name, e-mail address or payment details.
- Your game progress and your preferences stay in your own browser.
- When you combine two elements, the game sends the two element names to our game server to get the result.
- We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful.
- The site is free because it shows ads served by Ezoic and its partners; a consent banner lets you decide about advertising cookies where the law requires it.
Information stored in your browser
Game progress
The game on our home page saves the elements you have discovered, the items on your board and your in-game settings (dark mode, sounds, language) in your browser's local storage on your device. This data is not sent to us as a list and we cannot see it. Clearing your browser's site data, or choosing Full reset in the game, deletes it.
Site preferences
If you switch between the light and dark theme of the site, we remember your choice in local storage under the name ico-theme. To open the game in the language of the page you are reading, we also store the last language applied to the game (ico-lang-applied) and theme (ico-theme-applied). These values never leave your device.
Recipe search
The recipe search at /recipes/ may remember which elements you marked as owned in local storage, so it can highlight them. You can remove this with the "Clear save data" button or by clearing site data.
The game server
Each time you combine two elements, the game sends the two element names and the game language to our game server, which returns the resulting element and its emoji. New combinations are generated automatically the first time someone tries them and are then stored so the same pair always gives the same result. These requests do not contain an account, name or contact details. Like any web request they include your IP address and browser information, which our servers use only to deliver the response, keep the service running and protect it from abuse.
Server logs
Our web servers keep standard access logs (IP address, browser type, page requested, referring page, date and time) for security, troubleshooting and preventing abuse. Logs are kept for a limited time and are not used to build profiles of visitors.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics (Google LLC) to understand how many people visit the site, which pages they read and how they found us. Google Analytics loads for all visitors and uses cookies or similar identifiers. It receives information such as the pages you view, approximate location derived from your IP address, device type, browser and the time of your visit. We do not send names, e-mail addresses or other directly identifying information to Google Analytics.
You can learn how Google uses this data in Google's privacy policy. To stop Google Analytics from collecting data in your browser on any website, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising and consent
The site is funded by advertising served through Ezoic and its advertising partners, which may include Google. Advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers and similar technologies to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure performance and, where permitted, personalize ads based on your interests.
When you first visit, a consent banner provided by Gatekeeper Consent lets you accept or reject non-essential advertising cookies and personalized advertising where the law requires it (for example in the EU, the UK and some US states). You can change your choice at any time through the privacy settings link shown by the consent tool. Your choice is stored in your browser.
Messages you send us
If you e-mail us, we use your address and message only to reply to you, to fix the problem you reported and to keep a record of the conversation. We do not add you to any mailing list.
How we use information
- To run the game, the recipe guides and the recipe search.
- To keep the site secure and working properly.
- To understand which content is useful and improve it.
- To show the advertising that pays for the site.
- To answer your messages.
We do not sell personal information that we hold directly.
Third-party partners
The list below is provided by our advertising platform and describes the partners that may process data on this site.
Children
The site is meant for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Combination results are generated automatically, so parents may want to supervise younger children while they play. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent and to complain to a data protection authority. To make a request, e-mail hello@infinite-craft.gg. Because we hold very little information that identifies you, we may need some details from you (for example the date and time of your visit) to find it.
Security and retention
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we handle. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We keep information only as long as it is needed for the purposes described above.
Other websites
Links to other websites, such as the App Store, Google Play or neal.fun, are governed by those websites' own privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
